Each year, we are inspired by members of our community who take the initiative to coordinate community clean-up days. Residents dedicate their time and energy to clean areas in their neighborhoods—ditches, roadsides, parks, trails, and more. We deeply appreciate these efforts, and this year, the South Stormont Environmental Action Committee is thrilled to offer additional support and exciting prizes for your participation!

How You Can Join the Clean-Up Fun:

  • Schedule your clean-up initiative: All clean-up activities should be completed during Community Clean-Up Week (April 19–25, 2026).

  • Pick up your supplies: The Township has secured extra gloves and garbage bags for distribution to individuals and groups. Limited supplies are available at the Township Office during regular business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Report your collection area: Once your clean-up is complete, place your bags of litter at the closest intersection and contact our Manager of Infrastructure Services, Bailey to arrange collection. You can reach Bailey by email at bailey@southstormont.ca or by telephone at 613-534-8889 ext. 212. Please ensure bags are left safely off the road to ensure traffic is not obstructed.

  • Exercise caution: Stay safe during clean-up activities—be mindful of traffic, uneven ground, and potential hazards, including the type of debris collected.
